Bankruptcy

Employment Law

This section serves lawyers who advocate on behalf of both employees and employers.

Family Law

The Family Law Section includes attorneys who practice in all areas of domestic relations. There are no membership requirements to join the Section and everyone is welcome.

In-House Counsel

The Pikes Peak region is home to an ever-growing number of headquarters for profit and non-profit organizations. Many of these organizations have in-house counsel who enjoy getting together to share advice and experiences on their challenging practice.

New Lawyers

The New Lawyers Section (NLS) is made of up lawyers who are either under thirty-seven or have been in practice for less than five years. It meets regularly, except for during the summer months (every 4th Wednesday of the month at 5:30 pm at Southside Johnny's (in the meeting room - between the main part of the Bar and the Martini Bar), located at 528 S. Tejon, unless otherwise decided) for both social events and learning opportunities. The NLS can provide you with an amazing networking opportunity, substantive CLE and practical skills training programs, help develop your networking skills, and generally help you gain a professional advantage in your law practice. For more recent updates, please refer to the Committee Reports and Announcements - p.2 of the Pikes Peak Lawyer.

Probate

The Probate section is one of the most active and vibrant in the El Paso County Bar Association. Whether you are an attorney or not, if you work in probate you should join this section to learn what is new and meet who else is working in this area.

Real Estate

Real estate is a part of your legal practice, whether you are a real estate specialist or general practitioner, or a specialist in family, business, bankruptcy, probate, collections, environmental, or many other specialty areas of the law. Please join us to learn what is happening in real estate law, and to get your questions answered by specialists in the field.
