    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Advise member companies concerning employee relations matters, risk management, policies, procedures and other employment law and HR issues
    • Ability to speak and write clearly and persuasively in sometimes challenging situations; deliver employment law-related content in a classroom, online, or conference setting
    • Ability to analyze and solve complex problems; effectively listen, seek clarification, and provide concrete and clear advice
    • Representing employers in federal and state administrative agency matters; Excellent attention to detail; ability to work independently and execute plans to meet employers’ needs; ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities; ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
    • Must have reliable personal transportation, with ability to travel regionally; and
    • Advise employers regarding federal employment laws and regulations, with primary emphasis on civil rights and discrimination, wage and hour, family and medical leave, disability, and wrongful discharge; Working knowledge of Colorado state employment laws and regulations

    Attend the Probate Section CLE Breakfasts for free!

    The EPCBA is looking for help during the check-in process for the Probate Section events. The breakfasts are monthly events occurring the 2nd Wednesday from 7:30 am – 9:00 am. No meeting in the months of December, June, July & August. Interested volunteers would need to plan on being at location by 7:15 am.

    The Sexual Abuse Attorney (Military Advocate) will primarily provide direct legal assistance to clients both in the form of providing legal advice as well as representing clients in court and military proceedings as appropriate. The position will also advocate to the 4th Judicial District Court personnel and the five military installations in the Pikes Peak Region. The position will also advise and support other TESSA staff on legal matters especially related to military proceedings. Additionally, the position will liaison with appropriate military personnel to advocate for the integration of best practices into military policy and proceedings.

    Qualification and Requirements:

    • Attorney in good standing with at least two years legal experience and license to practice in Colorado required.
    • Knowledge of domestic violence and sexual assault issues and experience working with victims preferred.
    • Courtroom experience preferred
    • Fluency in Spanish and/or ASL preferred
    Resume review will begin January 2, 2019. Applications accepted until December 28, 2018.

Additionally, the position will liaison with appropriate higher education administrators and faculty to advocate for the integration of best practices into higher ed policy and proceedings.

    • Knowledge of domestic violence and sexual assault issues and experience working with victims preferred.
