    The Sexual Abuse Attorney (Military Advocate) will primarily provide direct legal assistance to clients both in the form of providing legal advice as well as representing clients in court and military proceedings as appropriate. The position will also advocate to the 4th Judicial District Court personnel and the five military installations in the Pikes Peak Region. The position will also advise and support other TESSA staff on legal matters especially related to military proceedings. Additionally, the position will liaison with appropriate military personnel to advocate for the integration of best practices into military policy and proceedings.

    Qualification and Requirements:

    • Attorney in good standing with at least two years legal experience and license to practice in Colorado required.
    • Knowledge of domestic violence and sexual assault issues and experience working with victims preferred.
    • Courtroom experience preferred
    • Fluency in Spanish and/or ASL preferred

Additionally, the position will liaison with appropriate higher education administrators and faculty to advocate for the integration of best practices into higher ed policy and proceedings.

    The Colorado Springs Municipal Court is seeking individuals interested in serving as court appointed attorney for qualifying defendants. This attorney will be contracted with the City of Colorado Springs and paid at a rate of $175 per case with a minimum of 20 cases per month. Applications will be screened by a committee established by the Presiding Judge. The committee will make a recommendation to the entire bench.

    Employment Opportunity

    The City of Woodland Park is accepting applications for a part-time Municipal Court Judge.  The part-time Municipal Court Judge will be expected to fill in for the presiding Municipal Court Judge when the presiding judge is absent, disqualified or otherwise unable to act in any matter or case.  Prior municipal court experience is highly desirable.

    Qualified applicants must possess a license to practice law in the State of Colorado and be a qualified elector of the State of Colorado. A valid driver’s license and a background check will be required.  Salary will be determined based on the qualifications of the person appointed by city council.  This is a non-benefited position.

    Established Colorado Springs-based insurance defense firm with state-wide practice seeks a contract attorney with 2 to 4 years of experience in civil litigation, preferably in the insurance defense area. Experience in motions and pleadings practice and depositions preferred. Excellent research and writing skills a must.
