Melissa Guggisberg is originally from Minneapolis, Minnesota, but relocated to Colorado and is happy to call it home. She received her Bachelors of Science in Political Science at Minnesota State University, Mankato in 2007 and went on to obtain her Juris Doctorate from William Mitchell College of Law in 2012.
During her studies, Mrs. Guggisberg was a Marshall Brennan Teaching Fellow and gained certification in alternative dispute resolution (ADR). She is the chair of the El Paso County Bar Association Military Affairs Committee and on the Board of Governors for the El Paso County Bar Association. She is a member of the Ben S. Wendelken Inn of Court and a member of the Military Spouse Attorney Network (MSJDN.)
Prior to forming K & G Law, her experience was in mid-size firms in the Colorado Springs community. She has worked in Family Law, Bankruptcy, and Civil Litigation. She has an additional background in business and finance and was previously licensed in insurance and securities. She also has extensive experience with the U.S. Military and volunteers her time with service and veterans organizations.
She is married and is mother to two daughters. She is an avid NHL Hockey fan (Go Minnesota Wild!) and enjoys word puzzles. In her free time, she enjoys camping and fishing with her family, traveling the U.S., and learning to speak German. She hopes one day to try her hand at owning a vineyard and winery.
