Working with clients can be difficult, especially when the clients may have a history of trauma or abuse related to domestic violence.

Our Working with Victims Training offers attorneys a brief overview of the the trauma and resulting obstacles that can happen when working with clients who identify as victims of family or domestic violence. Certified mental health practitioner Kate Johnston will lead attendees through tips and best practices for helping clients who are victims and teach attendees about trauma informed care. A brief Q&A will be available at the end of the session for specific questions.

This training is FREE for volunteers with The Justice Center, Colorado Legal Services, or the Civil Pro Bono Project. Other attendees are welcome if they agree to volunteer through one of these agencies!
